Crochet pattern for a large appliqué in the shape of a woman's head, a Mexican beauty. The appliqué consists of a base plate and many detailed individual parts, which are then assembled.

The crocheting of this "Mexican Beauty" appliqué is somewhat more demanding and is therefore also suitable for experienced beginners, but should not be a starting project. Basic knowledge of crocheting (chain stitch, single crochet, half and double crochet, increases) is required.

This step-by-step crochet pattern in PDF format includes 18 pages with numerous color illustrations that describe and illustrate each step in detail.

The finished appliqué, when using the specified yarn and crochet hook, has a height of about 20 cm and a width of about 16 cm.

Required materials:

• Mercerized cotton yarn/scraps (sport/fine) as for example CATANIA/Schachenmayr, Capri/Katia 
•  specifically, the following colors are required:
  - Beige/natural/apricot as the skin color for the face
  - Black/anthracite/dark brown for hair, eyebrows, eyes
  - Red/pink for lips
  - Green for leaves
  - Other colors of your choice for flowers and earrings
  - optional for open eyes: Catania Fine in white, dark brown, gray, etc.
• Crochet hook size 2.5 or 3
  I have always worked with a 2.5 hook here. For a slightly larger
  overall result of the appliqué, it can also be crocheted with a 3 hook.
• Tapestry needle
• possibly stitch markers (alternatively, a contrasting colored yarn thread can also be used)
