Crochet pattern Christmas tree, 2 versions: bobbles and stripes

This crochet pattern makes colorful little Christmas trees in two versions: a bobble tree with small balls and a striped tree. A pattern for a small star as a tree topper is also included.

The project is suitable for experienced beginners. Basic crochet skills are required: chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet.

The PDF includes 15 pages with 45 color illustrations that describe and illustrate the steps in detail.

The finished trees are approximately 17 cm tall (version with balls) or 20 cm tall (striped version with star).

Materials needed:

• Crochet hook size 2.5 or 3.0 (I crocheted all the trees with 3.0 and the stars with 2.5! But if you
  crochet very loosely, you should crochet the trees with 2.5!)
• Cotton yarn/remnants (sport/fine), preferably in shades of green, and many different colorful colors for the color accents (balls or stripes) (my recommendation: CATANIA/Schachenmayr; Limone/Schoeller & Stahl; Capri/KATIA)
• Polyester fiberfill
• a piece of cardboard / thin cardstock
• for the attached star: toothpick, glue
