Description
It would be such a waste to throw away food cans... Just pop them in the dishwasher and you have perfect storage containers, also known as utensil jars :-)
So they don't look so plain and bare, you can use this pattern to whip up a colorful outfit for them in no time—uh, crochet it!
You can use them to store pens, ribbons, trimmings, buttons, and beads. They are also perfect as flower pots, gift packaging, or simply as pretty decorative objects!
Crocheting the can covers is very easy and also suitable for beginners. However, you should have basic crochet knowledge (chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet).
The PDF crochet pattern consists of 8 pages with numerous color illustrations that describe and illustrate each step in detail.
In addition to colorful cotton yarns, you will need food cans with a diameter of 10 cm and a height of 12 cm (e.g., from baked beans, lentil soup, etc.).
It is ideal if you use a can opener that leaves the edges rough/dull. If you don't have one, the pattern includes tips on how you can also use cans with "sharp" edges.
