SHOP-FAQ
What exactly is meant by “Ebooks”?
“Ebook” simply means “electronic book” and refers to books in digital form.
The so-called Ebooks from Elealinda-Design are detailed crochet and sewing patterns with step-by-step instructions and photos in file form (PDF). They may also include pattern pieces, required materials, and other information.
The PDF file can be downloaded to the buyer’s computer and opened, viewed, and/or printed there.
“Ebook” does NOT mean that you need a special device (an ebook reader) such as an iPad, Kindle, etc. to view and use my patterns.
Do I need special software for the Ebooks/files?
The pattern files are in PDF format. With the free program Acrobat Reader, you can open, read, and print the Ebooks on any standard computer. You can also view the files on most mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs.
How can I pay?
You can pay for your purchase via PayPal or by bank transfer/advance payment. PayPal has the advantage that you are automatically redirected to PayPal, you pay there, and then the patterns you purchased are immediately available for download.
If you pay by bank transfer, it can take one to three days for the amount to be credited, and you will automatically receive the download link. Once payment has been received, the shop system will send you an email with the download links.
Where can I choose the payment method?
You can choose whether you want to pay by bank transfer or PayPal in the shopping cart, below the items.
Why do I have to enter my full address details (name, street, city, country) when placing an order?
As a VAT-registered business, I’m legally required to keep proper accounts and document all income and expenses. This also includes issuing correct invoices and keeping order records that meet tax requirements.
In addition, for digital products (like my crochet patterns) different VAT rules apply within the EU: the VAT rate depends on the customer’s country. Your country information is therefore necessary so that the correct VAT can be applied and I can document this transparently as required by law. Your data is used for processing your order and for legally compliant invoicing.
What happens after my purchase?
Once payment via PayPal is completed, you will automatically receive access to the patterns you purchased. You can then download them directly to your computer via the link at the bottom of the page.
In addition, you will receive an email with the download link. If you choose to pay by bank transfer, you will automatically receive the download link by email after payment has been received. Please keep in mind that this can take a few days.
Will I receive an invoice?
Of course. Immediately after payment, you will receive an automated invoice by email showing VAT. If you would also like an invoice in PDF format, just send me a short message via the contact form or by email, and I will be happy to send it to you separately.
How often and for how long can I download my patterns using the provided download links?
The download link for each file is active for 100 days. During this time, you can download purchased patterns up to 10 times. After 100 days, the link becomes inactive. Please make sure to store the downloaded files safely on your computer or on a USB stick.
Ideally, do this IMMEDIATELY after you click the download link for the first time—then you won’t forget. From your computer, you can open and print the purchased pattern file(s) as often as you like.
How long does it take until I receive my purchased pattern?
If you pay with PayPal, the shop system automatically sends several emails: an order confirmation (which also includes the bank details if you selected payment by bank transfer), an invoice email, and an email with the individual download links. After placing your order, please be sure to also check your spam folder—emails from my shop often end up there.
If you pay by bank transfer, it can take up to 3 days for the payment to be received and for the link to be activated.
Am I allowed to sell items made using Elealinda-Design patterns (crocheted or sewn) commercially, online, or at markets?
Yes, of course. However, only as many individual items as you can produce yourself by hand. If possible, please always reference or link to the corresponding pattern. If you’re unsure, just ask.
What is expressly prohibited is swapping, gifting, passing on, or selling my patterns—whether printed or as digital files!
